Privacy Policy
For Found: Bluetooth Finder · Effective August 23, 2026
Found: Bluetooth Finder (“Found,” “we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a Bluetooth utility provided by Spyridon Bousios. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Found.
Summary
- Nearby Bluetooth scan data is processed and stored on your device for scanning, signal guidance, local history, and heuristic repeat-signal clues.
- Our app code does not send nearby-device names, Bluetooth identifiers, or RSSI history to Firebase Analytics or Google Mobile Ads.
- Found uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature use and purchase-flow performance.
- The free experience may show Google Mobile Ads. Found configures its ad requests for contextual, non-personalized treatment and does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. Apple sends server-side purchase and subscription lifecycle notifications to RevenueCat for status, refund, and purchase analytics. We do not receive your payment-card details.
- We do not sell personal information.
Nearby Bluetooth information
With your permission, Found reads Bluetooth Low Energy broadcasts visible near your device. This can include an advertised name, a temporary or platform-provided identifier, manufacturer and service information, received signal strength (RSSI), whether a device is connectable, and when the signal was observed.
Found uses this information to show nearby devices, estimate a rough proximity range, provide closer-or-farther guidance, build local signal history, and identify repeat-signal clues. Bluetooth measurements are approximate and can be affected by walls, cases, interference, movement, battery level, and whether an accessory is awake.
Nearby Bluetooth scan data and signal history remain on your device. They remain until removed by the app’s normal data lifecycle, you clear the app’s data, or you uninstall the app. Found does not request precise or coarse location permission for its Bluetooth finder.
Analytics and app-interaction information
Found uses Firebase Analytics to help us understand whether core flows work and where the experience can improve. Events can include starting a scan, opening Finder, selecting a device category, seeing or selecting a Pro offer, purchase and restore outcomes, review-prompt interactions, coarse device counts, and short timing or confidence values. Purchase analytics can include the product identifier, displayed price, currency, and outcome.
Firebase may process technical information such as an app-instance identifier, app version, device model, operating-system version, language, general network information, IP address, product interactions, purchase history, and diagnostic information. The iOS build is configured without Firebase Advertising ID support, with advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization signals, and IDFV collection disabled by default.
Found does not require an account and does not intentionally send a nearby Bluetooth device’s name, hardware identifier, or signal history in analytics events.
Advertising and privacy choices
After welcome access, the free version may display Google Mobile Ads banners and interstitials. Found requests contextual, non-personalized ads, disables Google publisher first-party identification, and restricts requests to a general content rating. Google may still process information needed to serve, secure, measure, and limit ads, including an app or device identifier, IP-derived coarse location, general device and network information, advertising data, product interactions, consent status, performance data, crash data, and other diagnostics.
Found uses Google User Messaging Platform before requesting ads where a consent or privacy-choice flow is required. When Google requires privacy options to remain available, Found displays an in-app Privacy Choices control. Changing those choices causes previously loaded ads to be discarded before any permitted reload.
This version does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission and is not configured to use collected data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not use nearby Bluetooth scan history for advertising.
Purchases
Apple processes subscriptions and one-time purchases through the App Store. Found receives product and transaction status needed to unlock, expire, revoke, or restore Pro, such as a product identifier, entitlement status, expiration information, and receipt or verified transaction data. Apple handles payment credentials and billing-account information; we do not receive your full payment details.
Apple is configured to send App Store Server Notifications for Found to RevenueCat. These server-side events can include product, transaction and original-transaction identifiers, purchase and subscription status, renewal, cancellation, billing-retry, grace-period, revocation or refund information, timestamps, storefront or country, price, and currency. RevenueCat may associate events with a pseudonymous or anonymous app-user identifier when no account identifier is supplied. Found does not require a user account and does not send RevenueCat nearby Bluetooth scan data.
Why information is used
- Provide Bluetooth scanning, signal guidance, local history, alerts, and repeat-signal clues.
- Unlock, validate, restore, expire, or revoke paid access.
- Operate the free advertising-supported experience and honor required privacy choices.
- Measure product performance, diagnose failures, reduce interruptions, and improve usability.
- Prevent abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services
Found relies on Apple App Store and StoreKit for downloads, purchases, subscriptions, entitlement verification, and reviews; RevenueCat for server-side App Store purchase and subscription lifecycle notifications, refund status, and purchase analytics; Google Firebase Analytics for product analytics; and Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising and consent management. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Nearby Bluetooth scan history is local to your device and can be removed by deleting the app or clearing app data where the platform provides that option. Analytics, advertising, diagnostic, and purchase records are retained by Firebase, Google, Apple, and RevenueCat according to their configurations, legal requirements, and policies. Because Found does not require an account, we generally cannot identify a particular analytics or purchase-event record as belonging to you from an email address alone.
You can change Bluetooth permission in iOS Settings. Where shown, you can reopen Privacy Choices inside Found. Subscription cancellation and purchase history are managed through your Apple ID’s App Store settings.
Children
Found has a friendly general-audience design but is not directed specifically to children and is not offered in the App Store Kids category. We do not knowingly request names, contact details, precise location, photos, contacts, or profiles from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or appeal regarding personal information. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and process it, and some requests may need to be directed to Apple, Google, or RevenueCat when they control the relevant data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when a material update is posted.
